Panel Pledges Golden Gate Park Repairs San Francisco--The San Francisco Recreation and Park Commission yesterday pledged a new commitment to restore Golden Gate Park. Problems caused by old age, natural disasters, chronic overuse and political and financial neglect have done much to tarnish this park's reputation amongst Bay Area citizens. Jean Friend, chairwoman of the commission said, "We now have a fire lit under us. We are all well aware of what needs to be done here and we aim to do it." Man Claims Strange Lights "Attacked" His House San Mateo--In a bizarre story of the supernatural, Will Hotchkiss, 61, farmer in the Peninsula county of San Mateo, claims that "weird" balls of light have been harassing him and his wife on their forty acre farm. The balls of incandescent lights, in colors of red, green and blue appear two to three times a week for the past month. The appear above a neighboring "Research" center and come straight over here, Hotchkiss continued in an exclusive interview with this Enquirer reporter. He says, "Every since that company moved in next door, those lights come streaking over to scare Mabel and myself." Mabel, 53, is his wife of twenty-four years. Is There A Serial Killer At Large? by Melissa Cartwright Three days ago a sixth body washed up on one of the bay area beaches. This one was discovered by a couple walking their dog. The police have little to go on other than these are confirmed homicides. The police have yet to release the names of the victims. Mean while the serial killings on the Bay Bridge continue. The victim was 36 year old Marcus Sanchez of Oakland. His body was found dangling from one of the support beams. The police have dubbed the killer the "Fog Killer" since the killings have taken place on nights of heavy fog.
