Professional Goals I am ten years into my career as an educator. I firmly believe I have been placed in the perfect environment for my abilities and aspirations. I hope to help all educators within my sphere of influence. Through technology training, peer coaching, and administrative opportunities, I want to be a part of making the Baker County School District one of the best small school districts in the State of Florida. My professional goals are simple. I want to do everything professionally possible to see my district succeed. As Jacksonville expands, Baker County will become a more affluent suburb of the bigger city. Forty percent of the land area of Baker County is designated as federally protected forest. The remaining portion of the county will become very valuable to developers that wish to promote a peaceful, quaint living environment for prospective homebuyers. In the last ten to fifteen years, Baker County’s population has seen very little growth. In the next decade, I expect that trend to change drastically. The Baker County School District currently has approximately 4500 students. In the next decade, the number of students within the district could very well double. As a result of these changes, the school district will have to make some major changes. There will be many administrative opportunities available at both the school and district levels. I hope to eventually work at the district level in a position that advocates and facilitates the integration of technology into the k-12 curriculum. Professional goals are always subject to change, but my commitment to the students I influence will never waiver. |
