Classroom Timeline
The
first ten minutes of class will generally be spent completing a warm-up
activity from the overhead. The next twenty minutes or so will be spent going
over the previous homework assignment. The new lesson will then be introduced
or explored. The next twenty minutes will be spent practicing the new skill
or completing tasks related to the new concept. The final ten minutes will be
spent reviewing or quizzing the students' mastery of the concepts. ExpectationsThe expectations
I hold for all of my students are high. I expect each student to come ready
to learn. Coming ready to learn means that each student has completed his/her
homework. The student will have all necessary learning tools such as the math
text, pencil, paper, graph paper, etc. Perhaps the most important expectation
that I have for each student is that he/she must be mentally ready to learn.
This means that each student has the proper learning attitude and is focused
on the academic goals determined for the day. Rules
Students
will be expected to follow the school rules and procedures found in the
Student Code of Conduct located in the front section of the student planner.
In addition, students will be required to adhere to the following classroom
rules:
1. Be seated by the tardy bell.
2. Be prepared to learn. Have books, paper, pencil, homework, etc.
3. Be respectful of the rights and property of others and yourself.
4. Stay seated until the tardy bell.
5. Do not talk unless given permission. |
