Julia Ann

No longer is it just we three.

Julia Ann, a child long prayed for,

Has made us now a family of four.

The doctors have told us she may not be well,

But then again, it's too early to tell.

Whatever her health we'll give her our love,

She's our special gift from heaven above.

It's obvious already to those who were there,

She's chosen her mother for her extra-special care.

Why, her doctor said she screams very well,

But in her mother's arms, she was too quiet to tell.

She wiggled and squirmed and wanted to say,

"Mother, I love you in my own special way."

Her mother smiled with her face aglow,

And seemed to whisper, "Julia, I know."

We're troubled and sad that Julia is ill,

But we also know that it is God's will.

So to our special daughter we want you to know,

That, Julia, dear child, we love you so!
