Tables Page 4

Included on this page are several additional tables that you will find useful if you play the scenarios. They include: A High Explosive (HE) Firepower table; an Anti-Aircraft table and an Anti-Aircraft Damage to Aircraft table and an explanation as to how to use them. All are played using percentile dice.

Explanation

High Explosive Firepower - This table is used in conjuction with the Defense/Firepower table. For example: A squad of American soldiers, completely oblivious that the Battle of the Bulge is about to start get hit with a 75mm HE shell from a PzIV tank, while having breakfast in a stone building. The inherent squad defense factor is "2". The stone building adds another "4" to their defense (Infantry Fire Defense Modifier Table) which adds up to a "6" defense factor. The 75mm shell has a firepower factor of "4." The German player rolls a 32% with two percentile dice which results in a "suppression" of that squad for one turn (cannot do anything). Below 25% would have been a KIA (Killed in Action). Above 51% would have been no damage except to underwear.

Anti-Aircraft and Damage-Caused tables - Refer to the new rules that I have included concerning aircraft for how aircraft are played. Assume that an aircraft has foolishly strayed into the range of a German Quad 20 AA gun. And the idiot is coming in "low!" The German player rolls a 19% (below the 26% needed) which results in a very bad day for that pilot as he just lost his plane. If it had been a Medium Machine Gun firing at him, the results would have been very different as a roll above 65% would have been required to knock the plane down.
