Everything started in 1989 with this beaty-rappy mix of RunDMC, Technotronic, BMVSP, and Ice MC. Before, heavy metal was banging on the speakers for years. What's the connection? - who knows... The bpm - maybe. But after that time, no other style could take over my audio taste. Even the conservative American music entertainment industry couldn't change it. The United States seemed to be a pretty fertile place for "my kind of music" to flourish. E-e! I was wrong, wrong, wrong. I have discovered that it takes years for a song to travel across the ocean, and when it does make it, it's on sale on every corner, it appears fifteen times a day for three months on every radio station in every state (including Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands). Everybody starts nauseating from the number of times one hears it. But who makes across the ocean? - Ace of Base, La Bouche, No Mercy, Spice Girls (current champion swimmer)... Yuk! The rest of the European fun stays beyond American concept of music. Rare music fan feels compassionate, not talking about a comparable excitement (at least). Oh, well, that makes my EuroNRG even more special in Atlanta outscirts. |
