THERE HAVE BEEN PEOPLE BLESSED BY THIS PAGE

So you want to become a witch? You want to practice "magick" and the art of "casting spells". Sounds simple enough. Well let me clarify one thing right now, its not.Becoming a witch, or a mage as I prefer to call myself,is a major step and a lifelong commitment to continually travel the road of self enlightenment.

For some of us the process starts with a gradual, subtle rebellion against the established "religion" we grew up with that was drilled into our heads by our parents, forcing us to attend a church, temple, or synagogue, making us go to religios classaes on Saturdays when we'd rather be watching cartoons or out playing with our friends. Or worse making us attend religious schools and making us perform religious sacraments that made no sense to us as children, and were told that "If you do this" or "If you don't do that" that God will damn you to this horrific place called "Hell". Well what and where is this place called Hell and what kind of God is it that thinks he can put me there? Well I'll tell you,,, its a fear tactic. And it is fear that has kept many millions of simple minds in line by the established churches, through all the eons of time. It has kept many greedy and downright sinister people in positions of power, and it is through fear that they've governed their sovreigns. Certain of these other people have found higher truths and keep them visciously hoarded for themselves out of.......fear.Fear that if the common man knew the higher truths as well, that he would be overthrown or that there would be an every-man-for-himself freeforall that would result in utter and ultimate chaos. For those of us who have already been on the path to self enlightenment know that a little knowledge if misused or in the wrong hands is a very dangerous thing.

Getting back on the subject however, others start the process with a subtle compelling intrigue in occultide subjects. the very, very young may show in intrest in "magic tricks" Houdini style, slumber party seances, levitations, or ghost stories. As they grow older they may develope an interest in horoscopes, fortune telling, ESP or other Supernatural phenomenae, playing games like Dungeons and Dragons or Magic the Gathering, reading fantasy books about magic, reading historical accounts of famous (or imfamous) witches, etc Eventually if their intrest is peaked enough, they're going to pick up a "how-to" book on witchcraft. Now depending on the nature of the book and the mentality of the person reading it, this can be an enlightening experience, a good thing, or a very dangerous thing that could lead to self destruction. Books are nothing more then words on paper (or microfilm,CD,cassette, or sofware). They are written by people who have either done research and are recording their findings or writing down their own ideas. They are exactly that,"Their" opinion, and we've all heard the old cliche about opinions.now there are some works out there that are good, some not so good and others that are downright useless, but that is my opinion. i recommend when searching for inspiration through books, let your conscious be your guide.Always remember to "harm none"and always keep in mind the law of three.

Still, however you've come to the decision of becoming a "witch" or a mage, I call the process , "The Awakening" You might ask yourself "What is the Awakening"? The Awakening is a process of discovering for yourself that there are other truths out there, other then the one thats been drummed into your head since childhood. It starts with questioning the established beliefs you've come to know. Some of those questions lead to answers, others to other questions, and there are no right or wrong or stupid questions except the ones that never get asked.

When you make the choice of your own free will, to become involved in the ways of magick it should be a journey of self discovery of your own truth, ever changing and evolving. it becomes a religion entirely your own, and it is a religion, and as such there are no set standard of worship except the ones you impose upon yourself. The beauty of magick is that you practice in a manner that feels comfortable to you. If it feels right, then it is right. Certain groups who worship together, called covens, have set formats of rituals. This is done to keep continuity among individuals who share the same beliefs. There are covens that practice certain known and published traditions and there are also those that have their own unique tradition. There are also individuals who practice by themselves known as "solitaries". Even soliarties may practice in the style of a tradition or they may have their own style.

I was once a High Priestess of a coven but I now consider myself a solitary, however I do practice magick with my husband for certain rituals. In this webpage I will include rites and practices according to my own beliefs, and include other sections as well. You may accept or reject any or all of it. That is your choice. But DO NOT pass any further into these pages to mail me your hate e-mail or how I am going to burn in your mythical fire pit called "Hell",,it ain't gonna happen,, besides how can I end up somewhere I don't believe in.
