ANNE RICE

Anne Rice has become one of the most popular vampire authors of all time. There are a number of good resource books available for anyone who wants to know more about her and her work.

PRISM OF THE NIGHT by Katherine Ramsland. Plume Books. 1992. ISBN 0-452-26862-1
This biography of Anne Rice was written with Rice's full endorsement and the co-operation of Anne and her various relatives and friends. It is an in-depth look at all aspects of her life, especially the sometimes joyful, sometimes tragic experiences which influenced her writing.

THE UNAUTHORIZED ANNE RICE COMPANION edited by George Beahm. Andrews and McMeel Pub. 1996. ISBN 0-8362-1036-0
Although labeled as an unauthorized version of Rice's life, it contains a number of interviews Rice gave at various times. A chatty book, it covers considerably different information and topics than the book above.

THE VAMPIRE COMPANION: THE OFFICIAL GUIDE TO ANNE RICE;S CHRONICLES. by Katherine Ramsland. Ballantine Books. 1993. ISBN 0-345-37922-5
An A to Z dictionary of everything covered in the Vampire Chronicles from "Interview with the Vampire" to "Tale of the Body Thief".

CINEFEX #61. Edited by Jody Duncan. EFilm Electron Filmworks. 1995.
This magazine does a lovely job of covering the behind-the-scenes special effects used in the film "Interview with the Vampire". Excellent photos too.
