the "Indian Council of Missions" Bible College Students' Testimonies Isaiah 52:7... How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!  My name is V.Sundar. I come from an idol worshipping family. My parents loved me and cared for me right from my childhood. It was a small family with me and my only sister. Even though we were poor we loved each other very much. Even then I realized something was missing in me. I had no peace and joy in my heart. In pursuit of peace I used to go for pilgrimage to different temples and many religious places. I have even walked for several miles to worship in temples to appease my spiritual hunger. My state being a vanity saturated one, I was running after movie stars. I have even dreamed for several months of becoming like one of them. But all resulted in vain. I would have died in frustration had not my friend shared with me the Gospel. The truth he shared with me was so compelling that I committed my life to Christ. Later I realized that God was calling me to do His ministry. So according to the advice of my church pastor, who is my spiritual father also, I joined this college to learn the word of God in a more systematic and deeper way. God willing, I would be very happy to serve under my pastor. I am grateful to God for the opportunity He has given me to study in this college. In Him, V.Sundar Praise The Lord! I am David, Perayur Village, Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu, India. I was born on August 27, 1978. I was born in a strong Hindu family. They named me Ramaiah. We were very poor . My father worked in the field on daily wages. I was very strong in Hinduism. I was a man who opposed Christianity very much. I thought it belonged to western people. When I was 12 years old I instigated communal problem in my village between two communities. I was involved in stealing and I have lied on many occasions. I studied till 10th standard but when I was studying 10th standard I was sent out of school. At this juncture, my mother accepted Christ as her personal Saviour. So, the church people used to come to my house for carol rounds. As they came for carol rounds I was attracted by a boy's playing the drums. So just to watch him playing the drums I started going to church. There I met my Lord and accepted Christ as my personal Saviour. And I was baptized on 10th March 1996. In the following year God called me to serve Him. According to the advice of my church elders I joined this college in order to receive proper Bible training and ministerial experiences. I thank God that I could find a seat here in this Bible college. In Him, D. David  I am Danabalan. I was born and brought up in strong Hindu family in Tamil Nadu. I have a father and a mother. I am the eldest son of my family. And I have three younger brothers and a younger sister. I used to worship the idols in order to get more blessings and peace in my heart and in my family. But I didn't get peace or blessings in my family and in my personal life. My father is a short tempered man. Whenever he went through problems in or outside of my family, he always used to speak rough words and beat me. I hated my father very much. Because of him I lost my peace and happiness in my life. The bitterness had increased in me towards him. I felt that I was alone. I went the way I desired and I did all kind of sins. Meanwhile, a Christian lady who knows me and my life very much, gave me the book titled "Grace of God". After I read that book, I felt the peace of God and something dealing in my heart. Then I begin to understand that the Holy spirit was working in my heart. I begin to go to the church and enjoyed the fellowship of God with His children. Through that book I came to know Jesus and the amazing grace of God, what He has done for me on the crucifixion of Calvary. I prayed to God, O Lord, I am a great sinner, forgive all my sins. Cleanse me from all my sins by the blood of Your Son Jesus Christ. I got the assurance of salvation. I was baptized in the water on April 6, 1993, at the age of 21. I began to love my father and my family. I am happy that I am in Jesus Christ. Please pray for me. In His Love. Danabalan Romans 10:14... How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?  My name is William Jayakumar. I am from Dindugal, Tamil Nadu, India. I was born and brought up in a traditional family. I have three brothers and three sisters. Altogether there are nine members in my family. Even though we are Christians my father learned and practiced witchcraft. Because of that my family went through peaceless situations and our life became a cursed one. I also worshipped the idols and images of the saints. I was a man of anger and did all kinds of wicked things. I was the leader of the gang. I felt in the depth of my heart that I missed and lacked something. In the year June 1997 there was a group of people preaching the gospel of Christ in my street. I went there to know what was going on. They were singing the songs about Jesus and giving testimonies, every one in the group. I was touched by these testimonies. Because of these testimonies my life has changed. I committed my life to Jesus at that moment. I cried because of my sinful life. I confessed all my sins. I got saved and on that day the Lord Jesus came into my life. I was 17 years old when I got saved. I was Baptized on June 2, 1997. Then God begin to work in my life in a unusual way. I got the confirmation concerning full-time ministry in June 5, 2000. I strongly felt that I should undergo the proper Bible Training. Therefore I joined this Bible College. It is my great desire that I will preach the gospel to every one in our nation of India. It is my great future desire. I thank God that God has called me and qualified me for His wonderful ministry. His student, R.William Jayakumar Greetings from Jeisinghraj in the Holy name of Jesus. I live in Koilpatti, Tamil Nadu, India. I was born in Christian family. We are a family of four children and our parents. I am the third son in my family. My father is a pastor. Though I was brought up in a good Christian atmosphere by my parents, I was involved in the worst sinful life. I lost my peace in my life. I lived without any aim. One day one of the ministers of my father met with me and shared the love of God and warned me that I will be punished by God if I continue in my sin. I was fearful and turned back to Jesus and confessed all my sins and got saved. I was baptized in July 8, 1999. I now have the assurance of salvation. Praise God! After I completed my school studies I prayed God for my further studies. I went to my spiritual father for the guidance, he advised me to study God's word rather than studying secular study. I prayed more than a month and I got confirmation for full time missionary work. I also prayed for the right Bible School for my theological studies. I was directed to this Bible believing and Bible based School by a great man of God of one of the friends of my family. He encouraged me very much to study God's word in this Bible School. I am very happy to give my testimony for the glory of God. My name is Joel. My native place called Srivilliputhur,Tamil Nadu, India. I was born in a traditional Hindu family. My parents are working as coolies in the former field under the land lord of my village. My family is very poor. I was studying the 12th standard at that time when I was leading a sinful life. Because of my terrible sinful life I lost the peace in my heart. There was no joy in my life. I was a deceiver of many. This meant that I spoiled the lives of many. I went the way as my flesh desired. My girl and boy friends hated me. During that time one of the local ministers had come to me and shared the gospel of Jesus Christ. I got saved through him and begin to worship the Lord Jesus. I enjoyed the peace in my heart and I had received the desire to win souls. Then I decided to go in the ministry for God. One of the ministers had advised me to study the Bible Course through this Bible College, which is in MELUR. I applied and joined here. I learn God's word effectively. I consider this the greatest opportunity in my life. I have been learning many things concerning the missionary work. I want to serve as Missionary Pastor in a remote tribal village.
