END OF A LIFE
lying in darkness

looking everywhere

seeing nothing

hearing nothing

feeling cold...

crying inside

despair in my heart

tormented mind

to never be touched

forever be apart...

the closing of my life

the closing of the coffin

carried onto a green lawn

lowered into the earth

never to see another dawn...
can I remember

I try to remember

I remember her face

I remember her skin

I remember her pain...

she smiled and cried

she touched me

then turned away

I wept inside

wanting to live again...

I could hear my family

I could hear my friends

they were always there

right to the end

but it is over now...
lying in darkness

looking everywhere

seeing nothing

hearing nothing

feeling cold...

(I tried to write a poem from where no-one really can.)
(I hope I have succeeded in portraying this.)
