Name Analysis: RICHARD ARMSTRONG CLAPP II

Expression: 9

The Expression number shows us who we truly are, what we came into this life already knowing. This is where we feel most comfortable and how we automatically act. We attract people and situations to us that require our Expression so that they can further evolve. In this way we play the role of teacher. Naturally we are attracted to occupations that we resonate to, so the Expression number can be a strong factor in our choice of a career as well. Our Expression is the vehicle, with all its virtues and vices, that drives us along the path of our Destiny. It is the essence of our identity.

You have a vision of a perfect world. Forgiveness, Love and altruism are the path you walk. You are the idealist, and you do everything in your power to live up to your ideals in order to be a good example for others to follow. Inside, you know that you will be imitated, so you are extremely aware of your every "imperfection". Letting go of people and places when you have fulfilled your role with them is an important lesson for you. There are many that need to be touched by your wisdom.

Soul Urge: 9

The Soul Urge number has also been called Heart's Desire and Spiritual Urge. It is our secret, innermost longing. Our dream, our motivation, the fuel that energizes our journey. The Soul Urge number reveals what we secretly strive to be or accomplish. Some have said that this number tells us what we have been in previous lifetimes, the accumulated growth of our soul.

Like the number 6 soul urge, your life revolves around giving and receiving love. Your desire, however, includes the whole of humanity and a few races besides. Compassion, passion and forgiveness make up your essence and you are very generous and impressionable. The fine arts call out to you and you may in fact have a master artist living inside of you.

Persona: 9

The Persona number describes the way we appear to the outside world, the first impression people have of us. We may not even be aware of how we are perceived by others because we are so often focused on our inner world, and many times the inner does not match the outer. Persona gives us a peek at some hidden talents we have. The talents that we use to get along in the world and in some instances, protect us from it. It is likened to a bag of tools (jewels) that we carry with us along the way.

People seem to be drawn to you for absolution. You emanate forgiveness, compassion and understanding. Your charming and generous personality brings you love and good luck in abundance. Many people will be attracted to you because of your idealistic and romantic nature. Others will be transformed by your example. You express yourself in the way you dress, and it can range from dramatically bold to mystically romantic to "struggling artist".

Natal Analysis: September 7, 1962

Personal Year:  7  (1998)

During the 7 vibration you will want to rest, reflect, and analyze your goals, relationships, and where you'd like to go from here. It is a time of introspection, so you may find it necessary to withdraw from life a little bit and go off by yourself. It is a good time to write about your contemplation, as your perception goes deeper now and you have the opportunity to tap into "higher knowledge", which could certainly benefit others as well as yourself. The 7 vibration is surrounded by an air of mysticism from ancient times. It governs the musical scale, the color spectrum, and even the days of our week. It is a time of completion.

Destiny:  7

The Destiny number describes the life lessons that we have come here to learn. It reveals to us the path we must take, and the role we must play to fulfill our mission. Often our choice of career is based on this vibration, and if not, then it will manifest through avocational pursuits. We may attract people and experiences into our lives that mirror the traits of this number for us, so that we may develop into our highest potential. We don't always welcome our life lessons, so it is a possibility that we may even feel an aversion to the characteristics of our Destiny number in other people, and we may ourselves act the opposite. In spite of the many ways we may choose to react to this force within us, we have been gifted with all of the talents and energy needed to fulfill our Destiny.

You are an enigma to others and perhaps even to yourself. (!)  Your mind is like an arrow that can shoot deep into it's subject, analyzing and storing vast volumes of knowledge. Your introspective and intuitive mind then uses this knowledge to decipher your world's complexity of mysteries. You are a philosopher and humanity is waiting for your words of wisdom. Spirituality, phenomena and the occult are areas that may interest you, as are religion, science and mathematics.

Cycles

The destiny is divided into 3 great cycles, each governing us for specific durations throughout our life. The Seed cycle begins at birth and colors our experiences through childhood and adolescence. During the year nearest our 28th birthday, we move into the Fruit cycle which remains throughout the middle part of our life until the year nearest our 56th birthday, and the Harvest cycle carries on from there. Taken all together, the cycles show us our particular path that will lead to the fulfillment of our destiny.

Seed: 9

When the 9 is the seed cycle it can be a very difficult time, because the requirement of selflessness is an antithesis of the natural desire for validation and acknowledgment. The child usually feels very alone, and set apart from the rest of the family. Sometimes they feel as if they were adopted, or they are aware at a young age that their relationship to their family is very temporary. Nine's usually set off in search of their destiny at a young age as they feel much older than their years.

Fruit:  7

This is a period of quiet introspection, study and rest. There are likely to be many bookshelves filled during this time of intellectual and spiritual discovery. Law and physics as the underlying foundation of life are studied, and profound realizations emerge. Technical writing, teaching, law or any kind of scientific research is strongly supported now. Everything needed comes to you when you stop looking for it.

Harvest:  9

This is a time for humanitarian efforts, and philanthropy. You have plenty of opportunities for learning, philosophizing and teaching what you've acquired as understanding through experience. Artistic or literary pursuits are successful now.

Pinnacles

The four pinnacles reveal the high spots or heights of attainment that we are likely to encounter as we move along the path of our life. The 1st pinnacle lasts from birth to around age 28. The 2nd pinnacle lasts for 9 years after that. the 3rd pinnacle lasts 9 more years, and the 4th pinnacle carries on through the rest of our life. The peak of the pinnacle is reached during the next 1 personal year. Pinnacles are like sudden inheritances from a benevolent aunt, they can transform the prevailing energies completely and suddenly. It is useful to look ahead and prepare for our pinnacles so that we can maximize their gifts to us and shape them into the most positive manifestation.

First Pinnacle:  7

You are wise beyond your years. It's a good time to study and contemplate life and yourself. Spending a lot of time alone is necessary to search the depths, analyze, and attain knowledge. You may be very drawn to spiritual subjects now.

Second Pinnacle:  7

This is a period of rest, contemplation, and philosophizing. There is a desire to dig deep into the mysterious recesses of self and ancient knowledge. Intuition and receptivity to the inner voice is very strong now and you are aware that little or no effort or action is required in the usual sense, everything flows into place in perfect timing.

Third Pinnacle:  5

Adventure, change and exploration mark this as a period of exciting growth and discovery. Travel, romance and freedom of every kind of expression is the urge during this pinnacle.

Fourth Pinnacle:  9

Some call the 9 vibration "payday". All of the experiences before now have accumulated into a sense of understanding or knowing, and it is a good time to share your knowledge with others.

Challenges

The three challenges show us the major influences demanding our attention during specific sections of our lifetime. The 1st challenge influences the years from birth to age 28. The 2nd challenge takes over from age 28 to 52, and the third affects us our whole life. Challenges shape our attitudes and can affect our health. These vibrations that challenge us, cause either an exaggeration of the associated qualities or a lack of them, both of which are extremes which need to be brought into balance.

First Challenge:  2

A child with this challenge is very sensitive. There are many tears shed and extreme shyness is likely. They develop an intricate system by which they ensure the appropriate amount of attention from others. Through giving and intuiting other people's needs and filling them, but also by "nit-picking" and pursuing endless cycles of discussion about petty annoyances and imperfections. Two's are very intuitive and empathic, and when they are confidant and expressive they can be powerful healers.

Second Challenge:  2

This is the challenge of sensitivity and self-sacrifice. Two's look for needs to be filled in others and attempt to fill those needs while ignoring their own, all with the hope that someone will take care of them in return. It is possible that a two challenger can manifest just the opposite as well and be preoccupied with their own needs, feelings, desires, beliefs to the point that other people are only here to fill their endless requirements. Balance is found between the independence of 1 and the self-expression of 3.

Third Challenge:  0

The 0 challenge contains the essence of the previous eight challenges. Any or all of the lessons may be required or it could mean that you were born with an understanding of all nine challenges and you will be required to use your understanding wisely. Life will seem like a pendulum of opposites that you are challenged to bring into balance. 0 challenge holders are deeply romantic, in fact it may seem that they are misplaced souls from an era of chivalry, sacrifice or poetic genius. It is the challenge of 0 to develop discernment when it comes to "helping others", and to evolve a healthy dose of self-Love with which to love others. The number 0 loves with a depth that is seldom understood by those on the other paths. They are life-long searchers for a recipient of their love, their compassion and their selflessness. They must sometimes learn again and again that suffering does not equal love.

Your name, as recorded on your birth certificate, provides a major number and vibration that identifies you. This name or expression number, as it is called, along with the life path number as derived from your birthdate, are the two keys to your numerological nature. From your legal name, three important numbers are derived:

9  Your motivation number of "9" gives you an inner drive to benefit others and humanity and worldwide plans are the ones for you. Teaching, philosophy, and helping mankind are first on your list. You are brave, kind, and generous.

Life Path report for

September 07, 1962

The path of life or destiny number is derived from the date of your birth. This life path number is perhaps the single most important number for you and, like your birthday, cannot be changed but will stay with you throughout life. It is through this number and what it symbolizes that you will work out your own destiny. This is why it is called the number of destiny or life path number. For all practical purposes, this is YOUR number... the number of you.

7 Your life path number is a "7". You are one who dares to ask questions and wonder about the "why" of this world we live in. You like to think and ponder. Time spent alone is often a happy time for you. A life of teaching others is perhaps unavoidable for your eye is fixed to a distant star and the rest of us never can get enough of that type of news. Your dreams are the stuff poetry and drama are made from and your thoughts are from the worlds of philosophy. You will seek to know your self and to penetrate into the deeper mysteries of life and science. You can be aloof and too much to yourself. Others can but marvel at what you are up to. You are on an inner and spiritual quest and the mysteries of life are your domain.

Challenges and Pinnacles
There are several other numbers that are also derived from your birthdate and these numbers provide additional information about the progress of your life and its timing. Numerologically, your life can be divided into four main sections or time spans. Each section lasts a specific length of time and includes both a high point or pinnacle as well as a challenge, or lesson to learn during that time period. The challenges indicate the obstacles that you will encounter during life. These must be met, accepted, and overcome for life to proceed harmoniously. The pinnacles show the peak experience or major strength for a given period. From studying the pinnacles and challenges for each section of our life, we can understand the flavor or theme for that period. Here are your specific time cycles with their pinnacles and challenges.

First Life Period: Age 0-29
7 Pinnacle=7
On your own from an early age even when surrounded by people. Your thoughts run deep and your head can usually be found somewhere in the clouds. Can be lonely, but makes for some of the world's best poetry, music, and philosophy.
2  Challenge=2
Cooperation is the key here. Learning that responsibility means being able to respond to a situation... to work with what is. Working closely with others--giving and taking--is in order and will provide the needed ingredient.

Second Life Period: Age 29-38
7  Pinnacle=7
A life-imposed sabbatical from life's rush. r. You will find yourself preoccupied with questions of worth and philosophy. Those who love you may have to be more understanding. You are sorting it all out for yourself.
2  Challenge=2
Curbing your own interests is in order. Developing an ability to cooperate and respond to others is the main event during this time. Fight off a tendency to be alone, by yourself, or overly self-conscious. Mingle.

Third Life Period: Age 38-47
5  Pinnacle=5
Break out of the routine. A real need for freedom and variety will see you moving around much more now. New opportunities will suddenly appear all around you and life can take on a party atomosphere. This time is just for living.
0  Challenge=0
A zero does not carry a challenge. All numbers can be there to challenge you. You have the insight to select which of life's challenges deserve your immediate attention and which do not.

Fourth Life Period: Age 47-End of Life
9 Pinnacle=9
Religion, philosophy, the cares and joys of all humanity are of major interest to you now. This is a time for finishing and drawing together. You are kind, good-hearted, and interested in the "larger picture."
0  Challenge=0
A zero challenge does not carry with it a challenge. It is up to you to select that part of life you feel needs attention. You have a natural ability to decide for your self what needs attention.

Chinese Astrology, I am the Tiger.

The Tiger, the living symbol of strength and power, generally inspires fear and respect. Tigers' compelling dynamism, intense activity, independence and curiosity about others make them irresistible, persons of multiple charms; Tigers attract followers and admirers. The Tiger is courageous, active and self-assured, and makes an excellent leader and protector. However liberal-minded Tigers may be, they are passionate, rash, and resist the authority of others. Although they are selfish in the little things, they are capable of great generosity, even of altruism, in the larger. Tigers are men and women of action, thrust by destiny into the spotlight.
Tigers are fearless creatures in as much as they blind themselves to dangers and impetuously rush in where more cautious individuals would fear to tread. Outspoken in the face of injustice, their strong humanitarian instincts will not allow them to pass by if they see a wrong perpetrated upon another.
Tigers tend to renounce confining traditional roles, opting for a more unfettered life. With a wide ranging mind, they can adopt any number of careers. Their many experiences serve to enrich their life and add depth to their nature. Material benefits matter little to them.
Tigers have an inborn magnetic personality that attracts people to them like bees to honey. Warm-hearted, sociable and friendly, they are characterized by their frank, honest and open approach. Their immense kindness and generosity will always shine through except when crossed or backed into a corner, for then they can become vehement and ferocious.
Solitude is often the price Tigers pay for their position of authority, but they become accustomed to it. Better still, they draw on the experience, gaining new energies and great strength.
Chinese say the life of a Tiger born at night will be less hectic than that of Tigers born after dawn and above all, those born around midday. It will be a stormy life full of dangers, but the Tiger will never be bored. Neither Night Tiger nor Day Tiger will have an easy life. The Western term for a particularly fierce woman is "dragon lady," but the Chinese call her an "old tiger lady." For this reason some Chinese avoid having children in the Tiger Year -- for fear of having a daughter.
The lucky Tiger represents the greatest power on earth, and is the emblem of protection for human life. A Tiger in the house minimizes the Three Great Risks -- thieves, fire, and evil spirits. If there are two Tigers in the house, however, one of them has to go!
The Sexy Tiger
Tigers make ardent and virile lovers who dominate their partners. Because of their sensuality, their impetuousness and love of adventure, there is an excitement that not only follows Tigers wherever they go, but also guarantees them a certain irresistible sexy allure. These creatures whose emotions are out-front have strong libidos and are lusty in their passions. Generally flirtatious, they are especially prone to wild flings in their early years but do settle down as they get older. When committed to a happy and fulfilling relationship, Tigers make loving and caring partners, warm-hearted and generous. They don't, however, lose that romantic streak nor that exciting ability to surprise.
Encounters with the Horse and the Dragon will be especially interesting. Tigers will feel a definite affinity with the Rat and Boar but should avoid the Rabbit. Above all, beware of the Ox, who is stronger than the Tiger and will keep on attacking him until he is destroyed. If there is a Tiger and an Ox under the same roof the Tiger will have to quit before he is annihilated.
March is the month of the Tiger. The time of the Tiger is from 3:00 a.m. to 4:59 a.m.; their direction of orientation is east-northeast. The Tiger's color is green.

In classical Western Zodiac, I am a Virgo.

Virgo GlyphThe ruler of Virgo is Mercury. The glyph is said to be connected to the Immaculate Conception of the Messiah. It's symbol "The Virgin" originated from the star Spica in the constellation of Virgo.

Earthlore The Virgo character is precise, refined, and a lover of cleanliness, hygiene and order. Conventional, with a rather reserved manner. They are usually observant, shrewd, critical, and patient. Supporters of the 'status quo', and conservative in all areas of life. Virgos are undemonstrative due to a coolness in their nature. Very selective, and non committal in friendship, they prefer to keep relationships on a superficial basis.

Virgos find their friends among those who can help them move up the social strata. They can be name droppers as they like to associate with achievers.

Earthlore Both sexes have considerable charm and dignity, which make some male Virgoans appear effeminate when they are not. In marriage they can be genuinely affectionate, and make good partners and parents. More concerned with the outcome than the process, Virgos lack spontaneity. They are meticulous planners, considering every detail and its effect. There is seldom much room for emotional involvement because the mind is always engaged and dominant. What they lack in passion they make up for in preciseness.

Virgo They are practical, mental people, possessing inquiring and logical minds. In this respect, they make excellent students, and good teachers. Their mental bend gives them the ability to analyze and solve the most complicated problems. Virgos have a wonderful eye for detail and often neglect the overall issues. Practical and good with their hands, they are excellent technicians and have good inventive talents. Hard workers and conscientious, they are perfectionists with little tolerance for shoddy work. There is no place in their world for people who are footloose and fancy free.

Due to the Virgo preference for detail rather than the big picture, they make better workers than they do leaders. Virgoans are essentially tacticians, admirable in the attainment of limited objectives. They have a basic distrust in their nature, not only of other people but themselves as well. They project this mVirgoistrust to others and therefore make exacting employers. Although, they will never ask anyone to do what they won't do, it is still asking a lot, because most people will not go to the pains a Virgo will.

Virgo Virgos possess a strong potential for the arts, sciences and language. They are well suited for any career where analysis, detail and precision are required. They make excellent programmers, accountants, and statisticians. Many go into medicine, law, and the teaching profession. With an avid interest in history, some Virgos make excellent writers and researchers.

On the shadow side, Virgos have a penchant for turning molehills into mountains, difficulties into stress and cleanliness into obsessive behavior. There is a need to pay attention to health concerns, particularly those related to overt stress. Virgos are predisposed to worry and hypochondria, even to the point of exhibiting symptoms of the latest diseases. It can be beneficial to take up a pastime which occupies the mind and the hands, while providing a sense of accomplishment. A Virgo finds peace where his or her physical mark can be measured on Earth

VirgoVirgo, also known as Astraes, was the daughter of Jupiter and Themses and considered the Goddess of Justice. The constellation is one of only three which represent women. The others are Andromeda and Cassiopeia. In combination, these can be seen as the three aspects of the feminine: maiden, mother and crone.

VirgoAn alternate belief associates the constellation with the tragic Coronis, lover of the Greek god Apollo. Coronis was mortal and feared that the god would tire of her as she aged, so she took another mortal, Ischys, as her lover. In his rage, Apollo shot her fatally, with an arrow. In some tales, this unjust act was carried out by Artemis, the sister of Apollo.

VirgoThat Coronis was pregnant at the time, did not stay the god's sense of vengeance. Her child, Asclepius, was saved by Hermes, who delivered the baby on the funeral pyre. Entrusted to the care of Chiron, the child grew to become one of the greatest healers of ancient Greece.

A Virgo Rhyme

But modest Virgo's rays give polished parts,
And fill men's breasts with honesty and arts;
No tricks for gain, nor love of wealth dispense,
But piercing thoughts and winning eloquence.

Recently (Fall 2000) my employer required everyone to take a "Strengths" test.  Here are my results...

Your StrengthsFinder® Signature Themes

A total of 34 StrengthsFinder® Themes exist. Patterns in your responses to the StrengthsFinder® statements have established your five Signature Themes, which are those that have emerged as your most dominant. Read your Signature Themes and compare them to your understanding of yourself. In doing so you will find ways to effectively utilize your Signature Themes to increase your personal satisfaction and productivity.

Strategic The Strategic Theme enables you to sort through the clutter and find the best route forward. It is not a skill that can be taught. It is a distinct way of thinking, a special perspective on the world at large. This perspective allows you to see patterns where others simply see complexity. Mindful of these patterns, you play out alternative scenarios, always asking "What if this happened? Okay, well, what if this happened?" These recurring questions help you see around the next corner. There you can evaluate accurately the potential obstacles. Guided by where you see each path leading, you start to cull. You cull the paths that lead nowhere. You cull the paths that lead straight into resistance. You cull the paths that lead into a fog of confusion. You cull and you cull until you arrive at the chosen path-your strategy. And, armed with your strategy, you strike forward. This is your Strategic Theme at work. "What if?" Cull. Strike.
Relator Your Relator Theme describes your attitude toward your relationships. In simple terms, Relator pulls you toward people you already know. You do not necessarily shy away from meeting new people-in fact, you may have other Themes that cause you to enjoy the thrill of turning strangers into friends-but you do derive a great deal of pleasure and Strength from being around your close friends. You are comfortable with intimacy. In fact, once the initial connection has been made, you deliberately encourage a deepening of the relationship. You want your friends to know you well. You want to know them well. You want to understand their feelings, their goals, their fears and their dreams; and you want them to understand yours. You know that this kind of closeness implies a certain amount of risk-you might be taken advantage of-but you are willing to accept this risk. For you, a relationship has value only if it is genuine. And the only way to know that it is genuine is to entrust yourself to the other person. The more you share with each other, the more you risk together. The more you risk together, the more each of you can prove your caring is genuine. These are your steps toward real friendship, and you take them willingly.
Command Strong Command leads you to take charge. Unlike some people, you feel no discomfort in imposing your views on others. On the contrary, once your opinion is formed, you need to share it with others. Once your goal is set, you feel restless until you have aligned others around it. You are not frightened by confrontation; rather, you know that confrontation is the first step toward resolution. Whereas others may avoid facing life's unpleasantness, you feel compelled to present the facts or the truth, no matter how unpleasant they may be. You need things between people to be clear; thus, you challenge them to be clear-eyed and honest. You push them to take risks. You may even intimidate them. While some may resent this, labeling you opinionated, often they will willingly hand you the reins. People are drawn toward those who take a stance, toward those who strike a direction and ask them to move forward. People will be drawn toward you. You have presence. You have Command.
Learner You love to learn. The subject matter that interests you most will be determined by your other Themes and experiences, but whatever the subject, you will always be drawn to the process of learning. The process, more than the content or the result, is especially exciting for you. You are energized by the steady and deliberate journey from ignorance to competence. The thrill of the first few facts; the early efforts to recite or practice what you have learned; the growing confidence of a skill mastered-these aspects of the learning process entice you. Your excitement leads you to engage in adult learning experiences-yoga or piano lessons or graduate classes at the local college. It enables you to thrive in dynamic work environments in which you are asked to take on short-term project assignments and are expected to learn a lot about the new subject matter in a brief period of time, and then move on to the next one. The Learner Theme does not necessarily mean that you seek to become the subject matter expert, nor that you are striving toward the respect that accompanies a professional or academic credential. The outcome of the learning is less significant than the "getting there."
Adaptability You live in the moment. You don't see the future as a fixed destination. Instead you see it as a place that you create out of the choices that you make right now. You therefore discover your future one choice at a time. This doesn't mean that you don't have plans. You probably do. But this Theme of Adaptability enables you to respond willingly to the demands of the moment, even if they pull you away from your plans. Unlike some, you don't resent sudden requests or unforeseen detours. You expect them. They are inevitable. Indeed, on some level, you actually look forward to them.
