We must all unite

We must show that we can fight

We must all stand strong.

They hit our buildings

But they missed America

We are the almighty.

Oh, America

We will all fight back and win

Our security.

Terror’s stricken us

Though they did not reach their goal

We shall not back down.

These hikus describe exactly how I feel about this horrible situation that has effected our country greatly. I definitely believe that we will now be stronger than ever and that we will indeed come back. The poems I wrote came directly from my deepest feelings. I was always proud to live in America, but I am even more proud now. The lines “They hit our buildings/but they missed America,” describes exactly what I believe. These terrorists aimed to destroy America by hitting one of our many landmarks, and though many think that they have succeeded, they are wrong. These terrorists did directly the opposite of what they intended; they made us stronger.

God Bless America
