of our country. On September 11, 2001, four jetliners were high-jacked
and flown into three major landmarks of our country. The first hit was on
tower one of the World Trade Center. Nobody had any idea that it
was a terrorist attack, and certainly, nobody was ready for what was
in store for the United States in the hours to come. Soon, news came
that the second tower of the World Trade Center had been hit also
by a high-jacked plane and both were now on fire and in danger of
collapsing. These were determined to be terrorist attacks, which
were soon confirmed by the attack on the Pentagon not long after the
first attacks happened. All three buildings were then on fire and
soon word was spreading that the first World Trade Center Building
had collapsed. While this was going on in New York, another high-
jacked plane in Pittsburgh was downed after a
cell phone call from a passenger in the bathroom of the plane. Later
on that day, the second building of the World Trade
Center collapsed killing hundreds
and leaving thousands missing. The major damage to the Pentagon was
the destruction of the West Wing which also killed many people. The
deaths were not only from the plane crashes and the buildings
collapsing, but many of the people were rescuers such as firefighters,
policemen, and EMTs. They lost their lives trying to rescue those
in danger, but today, all hope for the missing is lost. We pray
for all those who have lost their lives for us and hope that soon
this war against terrorism will be won and that the world will be safe.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!
