On September 11, 2001, one of the most tragic events in our county occurred. Two hi-jacked terrorists planes crashed into the World Trade Center, buildings one and two, about a half hour apart from each other. Instantly, after the crash, the building bursted into flames. Immediately after, all kinds of New York City departments started to help doing whatever they could. About a half an hour later building two collapsed. Within ten minutes of that, the first hit building collapsed. Many people were in those two buildings and as they collapsed it sent a cloud of debris and smoke throughout the city. The attack left many dead, many severely injured, and many missing.

After all of the debris cleared the NYC fire and police departments immediately started searching for people. New York was almost impossible to get out of and there were even traffic back-ups for up to 20 hours. Many people donated clothing, food, money, blood, flashlights, batteries, and their time to help save innocent people that were in the building.

America was now more united then ever and this proved that the USA is the strongest country in the world. All throughout the week the USA was a very quiescence place to be.

Although the USA will never be the same, everyone will be trying to get back to get back to their normal everyday lives. It will be very hard to recover and people all over America will never forget this. The best thing to do is to get back on track and start over again. Now all we have to do is show the world what we are made of and to never give in to terrorism.
