PUBLISHED NOTICE OF CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT
TO:
Former employees of Gandalf Systems Corporation who were laid off from their employment or who left their employment during the time period of January 14, 1994 to August 31, 1994
A class action lawsuit charging Gandalf Systems Corporation (GSC) with failing to provide severance benefits earned by its employees in accordance with the prior severance formula, and in failing to provide sixty days notice prior to layoff, has been settled, subject to the approval of the Court. The proposed settlement is in the total amount of $375,000.00.
If approved, this payment will be in final settlement of all claims by class members against GSC, Gandalf Technologies, Inc., and Infotron Systems Corporation for severance benefits, 401(k) benefits, WARN Act damages, and/or other benefits alleged to be due and owing as a result of, or arising from, the layoffs, terminations of employment, or alleged constructive discharge of employees without cause from Gandalf Systems Corporation during the time period from January 14, 1994 to August 31, 1994, when the Cherry Hill, New Jersey facility was closed.
If you were employed by Gandalf Systems Corporation between January 14, 1994 and August 31, 1994, you may be entitled to a share of the proceeds of the settlement.
Notice of the proposed class settlement, including more detailed information about the lawsuit, the terms of the settlement, and the manner in which Class Members can object to the proposed settlement, was mailed on or before May 26, 1999 to all persons previously identified as Class Members in this lawsuit.
If you are or may be a Class Member but do not receive the mailed notice by June 2, 1999, you should immediately notify Class Counsel, Joseph F. Delay or failure to notify Class Counsel may result in loss of benefits to which you might otherwise be entitled.
