With only a slight hesitation, Keira smiled at the old man and let the blue hood fall back upon her shoulders. "Of course I'll help you," she said, "Earth is a dreadful little colony anyhow."
Fortunately, Keira had been born with the natural Sallaeden gift for storytelling and had been well-trained for moments like these in her spy school. Without missing a beat, she strode surely to the altar and addressed the crowd with a beguiling smile.
"Greetings, everyone, I am Keira. Fate has brought me here tonight to help the deserving people of Fanden in their quest to reap the bounties of the universe. I have vital information that is certain to be of use in the operation but it must not be taken lightly."
Keira paused for a moment to let her words sink in and, as she let her eyes roam over the crowd, she noticed an out-of-place figure lurking toward the back.
