The Heinzes, Knolls, and Gainers
Comments by Joanne Nance
On the right, Bernice Gogetle Knoll, I used to ride my bike to her house in the country, Chestnut and Tulare. Her family had cows and pastures. She is a wonderful friend and nurse. She and Larry entertain us every New Years at their cabin in the Sierras. Next Bernice is Bernices long time friend and another retired nurse, Joan Stockpole. Select for a picture of Ed Stockpole
On the right, Lawrence Heinze, who I have known since grade school. He and his wife, Gerry (another friend from grade school) had a bakery. Besides baking, knowing a lot of jokes and making noises at our card games, he is an excellent artist. Gerry is also full of craft ideas and knits beautiful things. Next to Lawrence is Larry Knoll, Bernice's husband the the calmest of our group. A good bridge player and helped his Dad build their lovely cabin.
Steve is standing next to John Gainer, one of our group of eight who we get together with for fun, games, and food. John always keeps us laughing especially with his favorite jokes.
Caltha Gainer, John's wife, is another one of my grade school friends. She is also a wonderful cook. And Geoge who I hope everyone recognizes by now.
