Letter from Joe E. Brown
George H. Nance, Sr. wrote in the history of the Nances:
Joe E. Brown dropped in on Jolo Island in the Sulu Archipelago (Between the Philippines and Borneo). Joe E. Brown never hestiated when there were soldiers to be entertained, no matter how rough the going. When George asked Joe E. Brown when he last had been to Fresno, he introduced him to Col. Phil Wilson, an 8th army Special Service Official, who was accompanying him. They both learned for the first time, that shortly before enlisting, they had lived in the same block in Fresno.
The Letter Joe E. Brown sent to Mr and Mrs. George H. Nance, Sr.
