STAND AT THE DOOR AND KNOCK
Have you ever noticed in t he picture of Jesus knocking on a door?
There is no catch to lift, He knocks and does quietly implore,
I wonder if He tires of waiting and giving His gentle tap, tap,
And if we are not heeding, Jesus then giving a loud rap?

All we have to do is listen and we would hear Him knock and call,
He would never force the door, He’ll just wait for our pride to fall,
Then we’ll hear Him knocking, want Him in our empty heart,
Feel the difference Jesus makes as we strive to do our part.

They should paint another picture with the door now open wide,
Just seeing the back of Jesus as He is stepping lovingly inside,
Then another wonderful painting, with light and everlasting love,
As a new soul journey’s along with Jesus to heaven up above.
