SONNET No 1 A Noble Place
I look in your soul, see some noble place
with thrones and dominions, power and great might,
not bound by earths law, but some higher grace
run, bathed in some ethereal bright light.
These seas and skies and grand high mountain peaks
of ours, lost in insignificant dross
Unlike celestial beauty that I seek,
and tremble, like King David at it's loss.
May my gratitude soar to my great King,
praise Him, who with love made our paths to meet,
ever wed, not to part at deaths cruel sting,
but then in this Celestial glory greet,
Naught to mar our joy save our own misdeeds.
with great effort oercome and so succeed.
