I look deep into your soul and see some noble place
With thrones, dominions, power and might,
Not bound by earthly law, but by some higher grace
Run, and bathed in some ethereal wondrous light.
These seas and skies and grand mountain peaks
Of ours, are diminished into insignificant dross
Compared with the celestial beauty that I seek
And tremble, like King David, at the thought of it's loss.
May my gratitude soar to my great God and King,
And praise Him, who with love entwined our paths to meet
And wed for ever, not to part at deaths cruel sting,
But once again in this celestial glory greet,
Nothing to mar our joy save it be our own misdeeds.
So with Herculean effort overcome all and so truly succeed.
