IF MY LIFE WERE A PICTURE
If my life were a picture hanging on a large wall,
Would I want others to see it, or hide it far away,
Would it be worth seeing, or worth nothing at all,
When I had this thought, I knelt down to pray.
Lord, make my life a painting thats worth a golden frame,
Set in it kindness, goodness and the way back to thee,
I need not be dressed in riches, or be known by fame,
Just a simple child of God and have with me my family.
Take away the evil that in the picture may show,
Work O sacrifice for sin, made by they precious Son,
Make my picture shine like sunlights perfect glow,
And help that picture be worthy, the battle won.
When I hold the picture before thy heavenly throne,
And see the look of love to all men freely shown,
Will my picture be good enough for thee to own?
Or will it be an empty sheet, just flesh and bone?
