FOLLOW THE LIGHT
The old farmer had a lot of work to do
While the weather was fine and dry.
He thought that he’d keep on plowing
And so plowed the whole night through.
He had a bright light on his tractor
So he could see to plow real straight,
For he thought his light would guide
Him, so he ploughed till it was late.
A friend had told him he needed a light
To lead him straight to the end of every row.
But his tractor light was bright enough,
But oh, next day to his deep sorrow
Every line he’d plowed wavered to and fro,
Far from the straight lines he wanted
For all his crops to properly grow.
He should not just have had a light
On his tractor, but one to lead him home.
We can learn a message from this tale.
We all need a light to follow were’er we roam.
A light that is true and faithful, one to guide us,
Guide us in the straight path that will lead home.
