CHILDLIKE FAITH.

Faith precedes the miracle,
At least that is what we’re told.
Faith in a caring, loving God,
Faith in bible stories told of old.

I see in the eyes of a child
The sweet faith I hope to gain,
For they are so pure and trusting,
Even when in sorrow and pain.

Can I put my arrogant heart aside
And have the faith of a young child?
So God’s miracles may happen
In my proud heart, make it mild.

So see the miracle in a tiny flower,
The miracle of a child from God above,
The miracle of kind healing hands
From all the folk you know and love.

So I pray for a faithful heart,
Pray for the humility to be healed,
So when Satan comes along my way
I have the mighty sword of faith to wield.
