A TESTIMONY
I know that my redeemer lives, said Job of old,
He had suffered hard and long, lost all he had,
No goods, no land, no family so we are told,
His testimony stood firm and strong, he was glad.
Many others have lost all for truth and light,
Yet they kept going for their testimony burnt bright,
Shone in the world of darkness, in suffering and pain
They knew within their heart they would see God again.
I have a testimony, that makes my heart want to sing.
It needs feeding everyday for it is a delicate thing,
Yet if like Job I lost all, I pray my testimony will be
Strong enough to struggle through unto God and eternity.
