PSALM OF THANKSGIVING.

I shout for joy O Lord,
I clap my hands in happiness,
My heart rejoices in prayer
And my soul overflows in love.
For I see all around the gifts
Of nature, slender leaves
On tall swaying silver birch.

I am blessed as I walk in their shade,
I feel thy everlasting arms around me,
The beauty of the forests glades
Of many greens tells me of thy love.

My heart sings in loud praises
At the beauty of each flower,
Their fragrance ascends like
A prayer in thanks from earth
To thy eternal throne above.

My souls praises thee day and night
For I hear the songs of the birds,
I see their muli-coloured wings,
My thanks soars upwards with them
In my everlasting praise for thee.

I rejoice with thanks for creatures
Great and small that grace the land.
The days are too short for my thanks
To thee oh Lord. For every gift of nature,
Every rising or setting sun in glory,
Every breath I take and every sight
That meets my grateful gaze.

Oh blessed be my God and King,
Blessed is thy everlasting love
For the bounties freely given
To thy children with great love.
