A Psalm of Gratitude for Music.

Oh Lord, I praise thee with a loving heart
For the sounds of music,
I give thanks every day for the multitude
Of sounds that grace my ears.

For the delicate notes of the violin as they seem
To whisper praises to Thee.
For the haunting sound of the oboes, or flutes
As they dance through the music.

I shout songs of praise with the trumpet and tympani,
And my heart raises to thee with the harp and piano.
Even the humble recorder sings unto thee
As well as the mighty tuba and organ grand.

I give thanks for the composers inspiration
As they struggled to show thy greatness.
I rejoice at the sounds they made
As it helps express my love for thee.

Pray continue to bless me with hearing
And an understanding of great sounds
That I may ever marvel at thy goodness,
And all the gifts of music that are around.
