TOO FAR
Lost, I’m completely lost,
To be found, what the cost?
Lost, yet know where I am,
Lost now to God’s great plan.
Gone too far along the path of sin,
I fear that He won’t take me in,
Stained black with a foul heart,
Lost, I did not do my part.
Too far, whispers a dark voice,
Too late to make a better choice,
Might as well stay the way you are,
The road back is much too far.
A quiet voice said, you can if you try,
The dark voice is a cruel lie.
Could that be right! Hope came
And entered took away some pain,
It’s not too far, God’s arm is long,
I can again join the happy throng.
