HEART ACHE
Does your heart ache, wanting to meet a need,
A heart engrossed in good doing wanting to feed
The hungry, both with food and sweet spirituality,
Setting all those hurting hungry souls flying free?

A heart aching because they will not listen or care,
Aching because all your knowledge you cannot share,
Because ears and eyes are closed to truth and light,
Do not see the need for God’s love so clear and bright.

An aching heart because you cannot meet each need,
Aching because of all the millions you just cannot feed,
Torn in two as you see hopeless, sad and empty eyes,
Knowing that they are God’s children, so a great prize.

I cannot feed a million or convert the world so wide,
But if one is fed and the truth I know I do not hide,
My heart should not be sad or ache but try and rejoice
For in us someone may feel or hear our Master’s voice.
