        MAKING FRIENDS
Be nice, be kind, be gentle, turn the other cheek
Lend a helping hand, for it’s friendship we seek,
Realize we Mormons don’t have horns and a tail,
When you see us coming please don’t ever quail

Please don’t listen to what other people have to say
They may have the truth mixed up in some way,
Do not condemn us until we can speak a word,
Or show by our actions that we serve the Lord.

Let us sit beside you, let us talk for a little while,
If you are sorrowful or sad, let us help you smile,
Let us join together in singing, praising His name,
When you see we love Him, you may not be the same.

We may not be able to teach you of God’s pure light,
But we will try show His love with all our might,
Maybe through our actions at least good friends we’ll be,
Then later we may teach you, even if we wait until eternity.
