        A PSALM OF REJOICING
My heart rejoices at the beauty of the earth,
Give thanks at all the scenes of great worth,
Offer praises to my God on bended knee
For all the wondrous sights that I can see.

Let my heart ring with songs of rejoicing,
My soul swells and gratitude is overflowing,
For tree and flower with their sweet variety
And the grace captured in them, yet all free.

I raise my voice with the song of each bird
And rejoice at all the different sounds heard.
The morning chorus chanting that great melody
Ascending to thy holy throne in joyous harmony.

I give thanks for the lakes and rivers of grace,
Offer a prayer for the sun and moon’s face,
Never cease to wonder at thy creative power
As I marvel at a tree’s stately leafy bower.

May I always love the gifts of nature freely given
Ever love the beauty from our God in His heaven,
Praise His name with loud acclaim for evermore
And His greatness and love always worship and adore.
