SWEET WHISPERINGS
One of the things that Satan really wants to do
Is to stop the sweet whisperings coming to you,
Any way he can he’ll try, will do his very best
To smother promptings, do we pass the test?

Many ways he tries, loud satanic noise can scream
At us, music and cultural many of the listeners deem,
This not only deafens the ear, but dulls brain and heart,
Then very slowly sly old Satan can start to do his part.

Another way is to tell you that it’s just in your head,
That’s not the Holy Spirit, you are tired, just go to bed,
Why should any sweet whisperings come to bad old me,
He only whispers to a special few, that I can easily see.

Turn around and tell Satan to go, you’ll listen and obey
Those sweet whisperings that will often come your way,
We have the power over him, a lot more then we think,
We can send him running before we can stop to blink.

Listen to the whisperings that will safely lead you home,
Guide and direct you until you reach our Father’s throne,
Satan wants to intervene, stop our progress every day,
Get thee behind me Satan, those whisperings help you say.
