COMING HOME
When one has gone astray do they dream of coming home?
Do they wish they from the right path they never did roam?
I wonder every morning do they still kneel down in prayer
Hoping God understands and listens to them somewhere?

What will it take to show them the way back home again?
Maybe I’m the one who should go and help heal some pain,
Be the one that says the right thing, point out the right way,
Maybe I’m the one who should do or say something today.

Coming home isn’t easy, when you have been too long away,
However much you want to, fear and shame may say, not today.
But to have someone who cares standing close by your side,
People come and welcome you home, your joy you cannot hide.

Listen to the voice that tells you to fellowship an old friend,
He may just be waiting for someone even a little note to send,
For the cost of a stamp or better still a knock at a lost ones door,
May save a soul and seal a friendship for now and evermore.
