A MATTER OF FORGIVENESS.
We know we should always forgive our fellow men,
However many times they hurt us, then do it again,
Love takes a lot of breaking, but what about the trust
That can slowly become destroyed, is that part a must
For true forgiveness? I thought long and hard about this.
I thought at first yes it is, but something I did miss,
The person needs to learn, trustworthy to always be,
But if when we forgive and trust again many times, surely
They will never learn what true responsibility is all about.
One more chance maybe one chance too many for them to learn,
They must work hard not only the love but trust again to earn.
Forgive, yes, love even more than was ever done before,
But let the offender learn trust and responsibility once more.
