DAILY STRENGTHENERS
How can I keep my testimony always shining bright?
What feeds it and fills it with God’s everlasting light?
Where will I find my daily helping so it will grow?
It is so very precious to me, I don’t want to let it go.

Sometimes when the path is rough, testimonies glow,
For it’s then we rely on Him and true reverence show.
It’s then we turn to the scriptures and earnest prayer,
No wonder our testimony is bright, He is right there.

When things are smooth and all seems to be going well,
We pat ourselves on the back, and our hearts swell
With self praise and pride, what happens to our testimonies?
Let us remember what made us strong during catastrophes.

The first food is a grateful heart full of God’s pure love,
Then maybe a love of the scriptures sent to us from above,
A desire to read and search, a hunger for more truth to find,
And a prayerful heart to a loving Father who is always so kind.

Then to share that testimony with others, don’t hide it away,
Your words will help yours grow, brighten someone else’s day,
Then a heart full of love for the Master, for His sacrifice divine,
For all the pain and His great suffering for your sins and mine.

Let not one day go by with anger in your heart and mind,
Leave all the ill feelings along with that day far behind.
Then have a deep hunger and thirst for things that are right.
Then if we can do these things our testimony will stay bright.
