A SURE KNOWLEDGE
This evening I sat thinking of the blessing to us given
As we left home to go and serve the Lord on our mission,
The words were very powerful, gave me food for thought,
And as we struggled through dark days and battles fought,
Were we not worthy of that blessing, what did we do wrong?
Had we failed the Lord? For we found no one in the throng.
Then it came to me what that blessing meant at least for me,
A sure knowledge of the truth is truly mine for eternity.
I need no special vision to guide me along the right way,
For I know God lives and His Son is my strength and stay,
A sure knowledge deep within my heart only I can take away,
Oh, how my heart rejoices for Sacred Grove witness today,
Let the world be full of darkness let no earthly light shine,
There is still the light of the Gospel that is forever mine.
