WORDS OF COMFORT
Taken from Numbers Ch 6 25-25
There are many comforting words found in holy writ,
Thousands of loving verses to bless you every whit,
But there is one in Numbers that heals me every day
And guides and comforts me in it’s own special way.

“The Lord bless you and keep you” it sweetly begins,
Those gentle words seem to kindly wipe away my sins,
For although I know He blesses me, sometimes I forget
That He also keeps me from danger and I should not fret.

Those two lines give me joy and comfort, but goes on to say,
“May the Lord make his face to shine upon you,” and I pray
I may be worthy of the gift of the radiance of His holy face
In my life forever, and be worthy of His great love and grace.

But it does not end there, even more comfort to still come,
“And be gracious unto you,” it says before the verse is done.
Can you imagine of a loving Father so kind, caring and good,
That gives us so much comfort and wisdom for our spiritual food.
