A FORGIVING HEART.
A forgiving heart is a truly happy heart indeed,
No grudge lingers, of vengeance there’s no need,
Love flows unwavering through the body and mind,
No sweeter, more comforting peace can we ever find.

If we can’t forgive others, how can God forgive us?
That is how peace of mind comes without any fuss,
That great feeling when the guilt is gently lifted away
Is a wonderful gift, given as we repent every single day.

But if we hold a grudge bitter water will always flow,
Darken our hearts, place anger where love should go,
Satan will have won when forgiveness won’t come,
He wants us all to be miserable, this is how it’s done.

Whether folks say sorry or not, forgiveness should flow,
To take the weight of contention and love truly show,
That act will give peace and will send Satan far away,
And we can ask God’s forgiveness at the end of the day.

A forgiving heart is a heart trying to be like Him,
For we constantly need His forgiveness of sin,
The first step to Christ-like love and humility
Is a forgiving heart and that will set us free.
