A JOURNEY OF JOY
When we say farewell to a loved one
Whose earthly time is too soon done,
They have begun their next journey,
The journey that will last for eternity.

They will not their joy want to hide,
Their heavenly love not be denied
As they greet loved ones with joy,
Where no pain or illness ere’ to annoy.

We gaze in sorrow at an earthly frame,
No longer vibrant, no answer to their name
Being called, no warm caring hand to hold,
No longer part of this our earthly fold.

Comfort may be found as we try and dream
Of the loved ones joy, endless bliss supreme
That must flow in heaven, where we can meet
Long lost loved ones and them again greet.

They will be waiting for those left behind,
So strive to be worthy and God’s heaven find,
Remember in joy all the great love you did share
And go on living for you too want to be there.
