WINDS OF CHANGE

When the wind of change blow our way,
I think we should all stop and then say,
‘Are these changes really meant to be
Or is Satan trying hard to get at me?’

Evil changes can come like a sweet gentle breeze,
At first it feels quite refreshing, you feel at ease,
It whispers, ‘this feels right and change we need,’
But it needs to be for the better to truly succeed.

Discernment is a gift that will help us know
From where those winds of change do blow,
Listen to the promptings, hear that small voice,
These gifts will help you make a wiser choice.

Go forth this day and be prompted to do right,
Walk through the evil winds, follow the light,
Follow it every step along life’s hectic day,
For the good winds of change know the right way.

The right way for us all to follow our life through,
Not being tossed and battered as evil winds do.
We’ll have a testing time when good winds blow strong,
They are to strengthen us, not lead us to do go wrong.

I will not be tossed about when the winds of evil blow,
But in prayer for strength to my Lord and Saviour go,
He’ll hold me when those winds try to blow me off my feet,
I’ll trust in His strength and so help others that I meet.
