NEED HIM THE MOST

When life is cruel and hits below the belt,
And we think, surely no one else has ever felt
This bad, has been in this much anguish and pain,
God cannot be there, or is harsh we may complain.

Don’t loose faith, don’t turn away from the Lord,
We Need to know that He is there, need His word,
His comforting arms around you, need Him close,
Don’t turn away when you need Him the most.

Satan wants you to suffer alone, be all bitter inside,
Wants to fill you with self pity, your anger never hide,
But waiting patiently at you side is the Lord from above,
Longing to hold you close and fill you with His love.

To see someone suffer for whom you really care,
They have turned away from God, say a little prayer,
For He is a constant wellspring of comfort and peace
To all who suffer and His mercy will never cease.

There is not one hour we do not need Him by our side,
But in pain and anguish, His love from us He’ll never hide,
We need Him the most when we want to turn Him away,
Keep Him close, please don’t let Satan have his cruel way.
