ONE PERSON CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

One person can make a difference, let that person be you.
Have the strength not to fight back, be one of the few
That does not need to have the last word even when right,
The home will be a happier place, everywhere be bright.

One person can make a difference, show a better way,
Always show loving kindness, brighten someone’s day.
Be the one with a healing touch, if cruel words are said,
Listen to the promptings that the Lord puts in your head.

One person can make a difference, at work or at home,
At school or when just having fun and if you have to roam.
Be the one to choose the right, the first to admit you’re wrong,
Always carry tucked in your heart a smile and loving song.

One person can make a difference, change the night to day.
One person can give light to a soul who may have gone astray.
One person who leads the way to a loving, happy family.
One person who will help show the way onto eternity.

Let that one person, if only one there be, be you,
Show how much you care by what you say and do,
Help by your actions to put a smile on someone’s face,
You can be that one person who radiates God’s grace.
