Faith is such a sweet, simple little word,
Yet a great possession to have and hold,
Something we need to tread along life’s way
Something to hang onto through a frightful day.
Can we believe without doubting what God has revealed?
Can we believe in miracles and families being sealed?
Can we believe in a God who indeed loves everyone?
If yes, then we have faith and will say, “Thy will be done.”
True faith is like clear water flowing sweet and pure,
And we can drink of it and have joy forever more.
Faith comes to those who seek it and trust in the Lord,
Read the scriptures often and so understand His word.
Then there is the simple faith, like that of a child,
That will help us be like Jesus, humble and mild.
Faith can help us see the light in the darkest night,
Know that God loves us as we fight the good fight.
So if we can walk with faith all our lives through,
The Lord will bless us with knowledge that is true,
Faith will make live sure, whatever happens today
You will have no fear, for God will show you the way.
