More poems about Poetry

NO THOUGHTS AGAIN
No thoughts for a poem have come my way today,
Nothing inspired me or in my head wanted to stay,
No visions of natures loveliness filled my mind,
No message from the scriptures could I find.

It is not very often that a day goes hurrying by,
That I do not have a poem in my minds eye,
The ideas are just sitting like ducks on a pond,
Not one thought comes from the things I’m fond.

Although I saw a robin watching the falling snow,
Wondering if back down south he ought to go,
And in my spring flower bowl a hyacinth did bloom
And we had a roaring fire to shun away the gloom.

But today my imagination seemed to have a little rest,
On days like these I feel quite lost and not at my best,
I hope tomorrow sweet words will flow fast and free,
Maybe a few silent moments may do the trick for me.
