TRYING OUT NEW RECIPES
Its fun in the kitchen when you try new things out,
Sometimes they work, other times you could shout
Because you try hard and nothing works out right,
And you hide the results, put it clear out of sight.
Some things are wonderful, a lovely pie or cake is seen,
But I tried bandy snaps to be filled with thick cream,
But oh, the mess, a great big sheet of crispy mess,
Yet nothing in the recipe did I even have a guess.
It was almost right, looked just fine, even rolled a bit,
But trying to get it off the sheet or eat it, I had a fit,
Some little bits were nibbled, but its so hard to eat,
Maybe good soles for our shoes for your tired feet.
But other times things work out just like a dream,
You can improve the recipes and you dont scream
Because of a failure, but even brag a little at success,
Instead of struggling with a big spoilt kitchen mess.
I will always try new things to cook in the kitchen
Try a cake, some cookies and pies and a new puddin
For it can be fun when everything turns out just right
And you feel good when the prize sits in glory in sight.
Yet even some enjoyment is found when things go wrong,
As you clean up the mess you can sing a silly little song,
So whatever you try, do it well and learn something new,
And you will be surprised how much fun will come to you.
