BREAKFAST TIME
Sometimes you feel like breakfast, a plate full of food,
Maybe a bowl of cereal, or porridge that has to be chewed,
Or just a piece of toast with marmalade or some orange juice
Or nothing at all till lunch time, food your body will refuse.
Sometimes I feel like eating other days nothing at all,
There does not seem any reason for this change that I recall,
But when you cannot eat for a special early blood test
That the time you always want to eat more of the best,
Bacon and eggs and hash browns and buttered toast
An appetite large enough to please the most pushy host,
The smell you imagine and your mouth begins to water,
All the things you want to eat because you hadnt ortta.
But when anything you can eat you cant make up your mind,
What to have for your breakfast is very hard to find.
So you just have juice and maybe toast or a slice of bread,
Or nothing at all and have a great big lunch instead.
