I LOVE TO SEE A SHAFT OF SUN
I love to see a shaft of sun,
Shine brightly through the trees.
I love to walk with you hand in hand
And feel the softly blowing breeze.
I love to see small children
Run and laugh as they all play.
I love to soak in a hot bath
At the close of a busy day.
I love to hear an old clock chime
As it stands stately grand and tall.
I love the sweet smell of the lavender
As it grows every year by the garden wall.
I love to see the thunder clouds gather
In the sky on those hot and humid days,
I love to walk and splash in the pouring rain
And see the sun and the beauty of it's rays.
I love to see you as you come through the door
For my heart rejoices as we again do meet.
I love to hear the gentle sound of your voice
When you tell of your love, every time we greet.
