LATE THIS YEAR
The leaves are late starting to turn this year,
The maple and oak still green as can be,
Some are changing, normally now in full glory
Yet this year it seems twill be a different story.
An avenue of maple that glow redder than the sun,
But with the lack of rain the change has not begun,
Will fall miss showing her beauty this year somehow?
I wonder, if it is much too late if the rain comes now?
It has also been a very warm fall , too warm I fear,
For sweet summer did not want to leave us this year,
Let us hope that fall still comes in beauty for all to see,
Maybe she too will be kind and linger longer just for me.
