SUNS RAYS
I can feel the warm sun shining on my back,
Of rain for the longest time we have had no lack,
The livingroom has all at once become quite light,
And the sodden green grass is all radiant and bright.
The river now reflects the trees and the blue sky,
Instead of a mass of dull grey slowly flowing by,
The remaining birds are singing in the baring trees,
The wind has changed to a gently blowing breeze.
Now I can see the fall flowers that still grow here and there,
You can walk today without a rain coat in this land so fair,
The ground is drying quickly, no large puddles everywhere,
It is now after noon the sun still shining without a single care.
I wonder if this little miracle will last to the end of the day?
Or will the sullen rain want to come back with us to play?
Although there are clouds rolling past, they are quite high
And there is still plenty of blue in the usually grey sky.
Come on bright warm sun win the battle just this one time,
Send the rain away to where it is needed in a dryer clime,
We need those warm rays you send out to dry up all the rain,
I have not seen a spider here at all, is that because of all the rain?
