HEROS - DANIEL
Dare to be a Daniel the very old song goes,
For he was very brave as everyone knows.
Not ashamed the true God to honour and obey,
A stalwart follower throughout every single day.
He refused the kings food ate things only in Gods law,
He and his friends were stronger than others by far,
Worshipped and prayed to God when it was forbidden,
Did it by the window so he would not to all be hidden.
Placed into the lions den who were hungry and mean,
Then the king by his own eyes a great miracle was seen.
No death, not even a scratch on Daniel could be found,
Gods great power those hungry lions mouths had bound.
Daniel honoured his king, but loved his God much more,
Daniel did not fear death as long as God he did adore,
There are other tales on Daniel that can be often told,
For me and many the name of hero, he could always hold.
